I’ve never been to Washington, but it is on my list of places I want to go. I would love to see the huge forests, the volcanoes, and of course, Seattle.
Olympic National Park Rainforest, or the Hoh Rainforest, is beautifully covered in grass, moss, and ferns. This is because it rains 14 feet of water every year, which is just crazy. The Hoh Rainforest is actually a campground inside of the Olympic National Park Rainforest. There are many trails to walk, or ride horses. Some of the ones near the campground are The Hall of Mosses Trail (0.8 miles), the Spruce Nature Trail (1.2 miles), and the Hoh River Trail (17.3 miles).

Another National Park that’s on my list is Mount Rainer National Park. This also covers seeing one of the states volcanoes. This park is mostly just experiencing the effects of the 14,410 foot tall volcano, Mt. Rainer. Mt. Rainer spawns five major rivers, and is the most glaciated peak in the contiguous U.S. There are forests, rivers, meadows, springs, so many wonders that happen because of this super volcano. I was just recently learning about super volcanoes in my physical geography class, we even took some time to learn about this volcano specifically. It is so beneficial and beautiful right now in its dormitory state, but scientists say that it could erupt at any time with little warning. Much like the super volcano Yellowstone, Mt. Rainer is overdue for an eruption. To learn more about how dangerous this super volcano actually is, click here. This is why I want to visit some of the super volcanoes of America before they erupt and cause devastation.

The thing I most want to do and see in Seattle, is to experience the Space Needle. The Space Needle is 605 feet tall with the top-level being 520 feet tall. It has 360 views of Seattle with Mt. Rainer in the background. It has three viewing levels, one on an air deck, one with a glass floor, and the last one is an indoor observation deck. It also has a cool spiral staircase and a cafe.

What would you be most excited to see in Washington? Mine is Mt. Rainer.
