Despite living in the state right next to Wisconsin (Michigan), I’ve only been there once. I went there with my dad and three of my friends the summer after my Junior year of high school. The purpose of our trip was to stay at Kalahari Resorts, although we did take a tour on a Duck Boat. But Wisconsin is known for other things than Kalahari and cheese curds, the cheese curds actually do taste better in Wisconsin.
Kalahari is located in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin and is America’s largest indoor water parks. The indoor water park includes many big and small slides, a big wave pool, hot tubs, and a huge lazy river. It also has an outdoor water park that features the same concepts but much bigger slides. Another thing that makes Kalahari unique is that it is also a large hotel and has an indoor amusement park, putt-putt golf, a rock climbing wall, a high ropes course, and a second level go-kart track. The indoor amusement park has a few small rides and a Ferris wheel, also a cafe and an arcade.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with what a duck boat is, it’s basically a boat with wheels. The tour I went on was through Dells Army Duck Tours. The duck boat picked up its passengers right at the Kalahari Resort and drove us down the road and through some beautiful woods. Driving into the Wisconsin River was very exciting with the water splashing up. The boat ride down the river was very scenic with beautiful rocks and cliffs lining the river.
