Georgia

Georgia is one of the states that I hope to visit very soon. Very soon as in within the next year. Not only would I love to visit my family that lives there, but I would love to re-visit the places my parents took me when I was three.

When I was three I injured my knee jumping on the bed. Listen to your parents. So going up the staircase to the top of Stone Mountain was fun, because my dad carried me. He didn’t think it was fun. Stone Mountain is located in it’s own city called Stone Mountain near Atlanta. The mountain itself is a quartz dome and is 1,686 feet above sea level. It is the center of Stone Mountain Park which includes a campground and many different attractions and events. The mountain also features three confederate figures carved into the side; Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, and Stonewall Jackson.Image result for Stone mountainstone-mountain.jpg

Stone Mountain also has light shows on the side of the mountain over the carving at night. I didn’t get to see this when I went there, but it’s definitely on my list for next time. The mountain also has cable car rides, train rides around the base, and geysers. The park also has many historic sites and attractions such as the dinosaur theme they have right now.

Another attraction I would like to see again is the World of Coca-Cola. I don’t remember this as much but I am a Coca-Cola drinker. I think it would be neat to visit the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta and see the bottling process, the history, and of course the polar bear mascot. I think my favorite part of this experience would be being able to taste the different flavors. They have over 100 different flavors from all over the world. I also love learning the history of things so I would also enjoy learning about where it all started and seeing the artifacts.Image result for the world of coca cola

The place I am most excited about visiting again the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. I love animals so I am also a huge fan of zoo’s and aquariums where I can experience the animals up close. The Georgia Aquarium features a giant tunnel through the water that people can walk through. Tunnels like this are a common thing now,  but when I visited the Georgia Aquarium the tunnels were a brand new idea so it was very exciting. They have dolphin shows, seal shows, beluga whales, penguins, and behind the sea’s tour. Image result for georgia aquariumphotos.medleyphoto.8762444.jpg

I suppose that when I visit Georgia again I will be focusing on Atlanta, since these three places are either in Atlanta or very near. If you were to go to Georgia, what would you most like to see?
